English:
Students participating in the project are going to exchange letters with their peers from other European countries in order to increase their interest in learning English language. Each student will choose a pen pal to write to once a month on particular topics: - Christmas wishes - me and my family - my school - my house and my room - Easter cards - my favourite food. The students will practise their English using basic structures with guided - writing technique. We will use different tools. In order to reduce costs and make matters simpler, some letters will be sent online.
We are 8 schools from different European countries. Here you can find information about our schools from France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Serbia and Turkey.
OUR ETWINNING PROJECT - ''My European pen-pal''
Students participating in the project are going to exchange letters with their peers from other European countries in order to increase their interest in learning English language and cooperate with students from abroad.
The main goals of the project are:
- increasing interest in learning English,
- improving basic communication skills in English,
- developing cooperation with students from European countries,
- developing ICT skills
- encouraging students' creativity...
Activities:
DECEMBER
- At the beginning of December students prepare Christmas/New Years wishes written on handmade cards and sent them through traditional post.
JANUARY - FEBRUARY
- Teacher helps students write the letters about the topic: me and my family.
- Posting the letters on common Padlet.
- Reading pen-pals letters.
MARCH
- Students drawing a project logo
APRIL
- Preparing Spring/Easter cards using ICT or handmade, according to the choice of students and teachers and technical possibilities.
- Sharing on Twinspace.
MAY
- Topic ,,My room''. Posting photos or drawings of students rooms on Padlet.
- Describing student rooms...
JUN
- Online meeting for students. Quizzes for students.
- Voting for project logo.
- Creation of common ebook.
- Evaluation activities.
-Dissemination activities.
Expected results
A common online Pen Pal book is planned with materials prepared by students. All the work will be shared on Twinspace and each school social media websites.
